Cape of Good Hope: Private Tour and Wine Tasting

Enjoy a tour of the Cape of Good Hope and try regional wines of South Africa. After pick-up from your hotel, drive along the picturesque Atlantic Coast. Make a brief stop at the beautiful beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, which also offers an amazing view of the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range.

Continue on to the coastal town of Hout Bay. Here you have the option to take a short boat trip (not included in price) to Duiker Island to see the South African seals.

Next drive along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point, a nature reserve that’s home to over 7,000 hectares of local flora and fauna. See a whole host of wild animals, such as baboons, Cape mountain zebras and various species of antelope including: rhebok, bontebok and eland. The reserve is one of the biggest breeding grounds for tortoises in the world, and thanks to the majestic coastline, offers spectacular views.

Follow the coastline along to False Bay and along the way visit Simon’s Town, the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and the fishing village of Kalk Bay. Enjoy an optional lunch at Harbour House, a 4-star restaurant with views over False Bay.

You can also visit the World of Birds Wildlife Sanctuary, where you’ll come into close contact with countless birds of prey, owls and a number of other birds. This is a great experience, especially for children.

On the way back, visit a wine estate in Constantia where you can try the region’s fine wines or visit Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Finally head back to Cape Town, where you will pass the historical university and the Groote Schuur Hospital on the way back to your hotel.
