Cape Peninsula by Bike: Full-Day Tour
Trade the tour-bus-only experience for a bicycle-shuttle-bus combination and explore the best of the Cape Peninsula from the saddle.
Meet at the V&A Waterfront and shuttle up to Signal Hill for a bird’s eye view of the Atlantic Seaboard. From here descend slowly into Camps Bay and alongside the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range before a little bit of climbing which takes you to the historic Hout Bay Harbour. Then make your way up the spectacular Chapman’s Peak mountain pass for a superb lunch spread with the best views around town!
Visit the top of Chapman’s Peak for the most stunning views.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided hike to the old lighthouse at Cape Point which stands head and shoulders above everything else. A guided hike (or bike ride) is also offered from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope, which showcases the unsurpassed beauty of this hidden gem at the most southern tip of Africa. Hopefully you may be lucky enough to spot zebra, eland, baboons and ostriches, to mention a few of the species in this protected reserve!
Return back to the city along the eastern side of the peninsula visiting the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach for a close-up view of the Jackass species before you are transferred back to your residence in Cape Town.
