You’ll be picked up at your Cape Town accommodation at around 09:00 in a luxury Mercedes Benz C-class, Hyundai H1, Toyota Quantum GL or Mercedes Benz Sprinter (for larger groups) and head out on a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula with a qualified guide.
If this is your first time in Cape Town, you’ll be taken on a 30-minute city orientation tour before heading out.
Travel along the Atlantic seaboard, driving between the mountains and the ocean and passing through Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay and Llundadno, as well as Chapman’s Peak. There will be a photo stop at Maiden’s Cove.
Stop in Hout Bay, where you’ll have the option of taking a boat to Seal Island. Lunch is also an option in Hout Bay, and you can enjoy the fresh seafood at harbour eateries (not included in the tour price).
Alternatively, a light meal will be available further on at Noordhoek village, along with the best coffee this side of the Cape at Roast Village.
Next, you’ll set off for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the Cape Point lighthouse (a popular stop for photos). See the Dias and da Gama monuments and the local fauna and flora. You may also encounter some baboons and other wildlife.
Enjoy an optional wine tasting of the region’s best Sauvignon Blanc or an optional stop at the Cape Point ostrich farm.
Continue to Simon’s Town to the monument of the Great Dane dog who made his own history in the South African Navy. Visit Boulder’s Beach and see the penguin colony.
Return to Cape Town passing through Fish Hoek and Muizenburg, via the Old Cape Road with an optional stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (time permitting).
You will be dropped off at your accommodation or a restaurant of your choice in Cape Town, if you prefer.
