VLOG 03: Pop-Up Vegan Brunch in Neukölln, Berlin
When you move to a new city it can take a long time to feel settled, to feel like you have friends you can lean on, and feel confident in the life you are building. Lou and I have been in Berlin for a year and a half and I think we are finally feeling like this is our home now. We traveled a lot in 2015, but even with all our comings and goings we were able to connect with some incredible people and are so happy to have all these new faces in our lives. This video is about a pop-up brunch that our friend Marion and I cooked this past weekend. I met Marion in German class and soon our love of good food and conversation made us think about starting to share our passions with Berlin. Just at the point when we wanted to start cooking dinners together, our friend Bridget invited us to cook this meal at her new live music event called The Batch – https://www.facebook.com/thebatchberl… . It’s a concert series organized by an incredible group of individuals who we are just getting to know and I am so happy that we got to be a part of their project. Also!! We didn’t make the bread ourselves, but got it from the amazing man in berlin! https://www.instagram.com/oneohfiveoh/ As for the gorgeous place that is featured here, well it was created by an old friend of Bridget’s – feel free to check it out here: http://coje-berlin.com/en/ Thank you to all of the people who came out for the event this weekend. We had so much fun and can’t wait to create many, many more memories with all of you! And… fingers crossed we can start getting these Tuesday videos out before midnight Berlin time!!!
