Watertight (Van Build – Part 11)

Patience has never been my strongest characteristic and getting these windows and #vanwatertight over the past few weeks has definitely reminded me of that weakness. In reality, the #leakywindows are the perfect example of the beauty of working on an #oldvan as first-time car owners. We don’t know what we’re doing, but as we go we are getting more and more competent and Ody while frustrating at times is very forgiving. There is no need for perfect aesthetics as he’s already pretty beat up and ugly, and that means we only have to worry about making things function properly. I know we still have so much ahead of us with this build, but the completed home has never felt as close as it does now and I can’t even comprehend what it is going to feel like to lay down in our bed looking out at some spectacular view and think back on the window installation or the month of monsoon rains here in Spain. Love, Dana (& Lou) Question of the Week: Right now I’m in the middle of a 65-day digital detox and I’ve found that not watching TV/Netflix during the week has helped me make so much more time for reading. So…. my question for you is what are you reading right now? I’m a quarter of the way through The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende and am so enthralled already!
