I attended Day 2 of the festivals with a couple of friends. We watched the Orchestra Play, a French Arabic movie about a vilolinist who takes on the task of teaching a group of underprivileged children the violin to perform at the Philharmonic. The movie was good so I didn’t mind reading the subtitles. I gave it a 5 but that was rather generous and To be fair it should have been 3. I must have got carried away with the fabulousness of the evening and become overly generous. I do remember watching a similar movie in the 90s with Meryl Streep as the teacher who took a group of underprivileged clscool children to the Carnage Hall.
