The hike to the caves is not so difficult but I advise you to wear good shoes ! They have only recently been discovered and there isn’t a great deal of infrastructure. No lighting or hand rails as of October 2017. All this is promised as is a geology survey….. Who know’s?
The water that drips is sweet to taste , although I’m not sure it is recommended. I travelled with my sister and we had a great time in Nungwi. We didn’t find time to go diving but the marine life here is as good as anywhere.
