We woke up early this morning to the news of the earthquake in Chile and the Pacific Tsunami warning issued by NOAA. As a precaution all boats in our anchorage headed out to sea and deeper water. It was a beautiful site as nearly 30 boats pulled anchor and hoisted sail with the rising sun.

Delos is dialed in making an easy 7 knots upwind in 10-15 knots of breeze under crystal blue skies. The seas are smooth and the temp is hovering right around 80.

The Tsunami is predicted to hit our area around 11:09 local time so our plan is to sail for a few hours and return to the anchorage in the afternoon. All lines are in the water, with any luck maybe we’ll catch some dinner!
