First and foremost I’d like to send a shout out to Brian & Karin for being such generous hosts as well great friends; and a special shout out to the Delos supporters, and friends and family that I fondly referred to as the Delos Tribe.
Tribe; as I see it described: A supportive group or family that bonds together for the common goal of promoting adventure as a form of self discovery through the art of sailing. If you are reading this, you are awesome! For that I’d like to say “Thank you and welcome you to the Delos Tribe,” Because if it was not for you Nikki and I most certainly would not be here on this beautiful beach in Thailand writing to you.
Furthermore, Delos (the vessel) may have been relegated to sitting out, alone, and drying up on some hard dock or hosting barnacles in some bay; resulting in the Delos crew unable to share their gift and quite possibly being forced back into the day-to-day life of societal mediocrity that we all are so desperate to break away from. So for that reason I’d like to shout out a great big “THANK YOU” to all whom have contributed to make Delos as it is; all of the supporters, followers, YouTubers, buy us a beer contributors, (enjoyed a few, THANKS!) and Patreon contributors as well as friends, family and past crew. You are the ones that make this continuing adventure possible. Every little dollar helps whether it’s 5$, 20$ or 100$; every dollar can be stretched out at sea to create what I’m sure you can agree is the most amazing sailing blog ever. THANK YOU so much for your support.
I cannot speak for Brian and Karin but what I can tell you is that they are extremely humbled and feel very grateful to be able to have the opportunity to continue sailing. While they may not be rich in monetary terms they are however richer than can be met in money, with the blessings of having the freedom and liberty to continue following their passion and sharing it with others all around the world.
From what I gathered in the conversations we had the privilege of sharing, with Brian and Karin, they are happy just to be sailing again. They are humbled and so proud of all of you for your continued support that they are setting out on a new journey. A new journey with resounding vigor, accompanied with an overwhelming drive to produce the most amazing sailing adventure videos and blogs ever seen. With the crew of 7 for the 2015 season I am certain this year will be nothing short of spectacular.
Stay tuned and thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
Michael & Nikki
